Plane Tickets are purchased ... next steps is raise some mula$!
GISS Improv has won the regional competition of the Canadian Improv Games, securing their place at the National tournament in Ottawa next month!
Travelling across the country is pricey, so the team is reaching out to the generous and supportive Gulf Islands community, family, and friends to
help raise $10,000 in just six weeks!
Funds will be used for flights, hotels, food, and ground transportation.
In Ottawa the students will be performing at the National Arts Centre alongside the top 20 teams from coast to coast, participating in improv workshops with some of the best trainers in the country, touring our national museums and galleries, and hopefully even attending question period and visiting parliament hill.
BACKGROUND:
GISS Improv is a team of creative, courageous, and entertaining high school students from Gulf Islands Secondary School, coached by Jason Donaldson.
This will be the ninth time GISS Improv is representing our local islands at the National tournament. They earned gold in 2019, silver in 2018, gold in 2017, and bronze last year!
Thank you for your support! Please spread the word!
